Overview of Location and Area
Seger Beach is located just 5–10 minutes east of Kuta Lombok, sitting at the base of a hill with sweeping views of the southern coastline. It’s a chill, scenic spot with a couple warungs, mellow beach vibes, and quick access from town — making it an easy go-to for a spontaneous session or warm-up wave.
About Seger
Seger is a reef peak with both left and right-handers, but the right is more reliable and better shaped, especially when the tide is right. It starts with a quick drop, then walls up for a couple of turns before shutting down near the inside reef. The left is more of a beginner option — slower, shorter, and often fat on higher tides. It’s a great place to learn reef awareness and get your feet wet in Indo conditions without too much consequence.
Best Conditions for Seger
Swell direction: SSW
Swell size: 2–6 ft
Wind: N to NW (offshore)
Tide: Mid to high for the right-hander

Getting in and out at Seger
Super easy paddle from the beach right out to the peak. Just time your entry between sets to avoid getting bounced on the inside reef. It’s a friendly setup for intermediates and learners, though reef booties are smart if you’re not used to coral. Watch for exposed rock near the takeoff at lower tides.
Getting to Seger
From Kuta, ride east on the coastal road and follow the signs to Pantai Seger. It’s a short ride — about 5 minutes by scooter. Park in the designated lot (small fee), walk down to the sand, and paddle out. Easy access, no boat needed.
Hazards to Look Out For at Seger
Sharp reef and urchins — particularly around the takeoff zone
Short wave length — it sections out quickly if the swell isn’t lined up
Crowds — it’s close to Kuta, so it draws learners and surf schools
Occasional rips when the swell pushes through
