Four Bobs is best surfed on a SW to W swell, where the wave can line up nicely with the right direction. It’s optimal at mid to high tide, as the reef becomes shallow and exposed during low tide, creating potential hazards. Winds from the SE to E make the wave clean and offshore, offering the best conditions for a smooth ride. A swell size of 2 to 6ft is ideal, as anything bigger may cause the wave to become too heavy.

When it’s bigger, the wave tends to break quite fast, so make sure you’re ready to take off as soon as you hit the takeoff zone.
