Overview of Location and Area

Bulak Benda is an exposed reef setup just outside the calm curve of Batukaras Bay. It sits closer to open ocean and picks up more swell, making it a go-to when the point is too soft. The vibe is still low-key and remote, but the wave packs more punch and consequence than anything inside the bay.

About Bulak Benda

This right-hand reef break is fast and compact, with a steeper takeoff and shorter wall than Batukaras Point. The wave draws in swell efficiently, acting as a reliable magnet for southern energy. While it’s not overly long, it throws some solid sections, occasionally barreling on the right tide and angle. The reef is sharp, and the wave can shut down fast — so it’s best for those with experience in Indo reef setups.

Best Conditions for Bulak Benda
