Overview of Location and Area

Pantai Camara is a quiet, beautiful beach north of Banda Aceh, framed by coconut trees and clear water. It’s a laid-back zone — more families and fishermen than surfers — but when a small west or northwest swell sneaks in, there are playful little peaks for beginners and soft-top cruising.

About Pantai Camara

This is a beachbreak setup with a gently sloping shoreline and soft, slow waves. On small days, it’s great for first-timers or longboarders. When the swell hits chest high, you can get fun corners, usually short rides, easy takeoffs, and zero crowd. A good fallback when the reefs are too heavy or blown out.

Getting There and Surfing It

Just 15–20 minutes north of Banda Aceh by scooter or car. Paddle straight from the sand, no reef, no current, no stress. Bring a soft-top, log, or wide funboard — anything high volume. Best early in the day for glass, especially during October–February when west-northwest swells are more likely.
